Cathy Woodman

Hello and welcome to my website.

I began my working life as a small-animal vet, treating a variety of animals from cats and dogs to rats and rabbits, and even a marmoset, before turning to writing fiction. I can’t believe that I’m about to start writing the tenth book set in Talyton St George, the fictional market town inspired by my love of the Devon countryside where I learned how to ride a horse, milk a cow and give a sheep a pedicure. I live with my two grown-up children, two Border Terriers and a cat in a village near Winchester, Hampshire. I’m planning to move back to Devon so I can live somewhere just like Talyton St George, ideally in a thatched longhouse with ponies in the paddock and chickens in the garden.

Out now!
